Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified vendors capable of providing a Digital Phase Noise and Frequency Analyzer. This effort aims to determine potential and eligible business firms, including U.S. manufacturers, before finalizing an acquisition strategy. Responses are due by April 15, 2026.
Scope of Work
NIST seeks information on vendors that can supply a Digital Phase Noise and Frequency Analyzer, specifically for the ATRIQ Experimental control system. The requirement includes various hardware components and software integration:
- Hardware: EEM AC Power Modules (3), Kasli (5), Kasli-SoC (1), DIO-SMA-TTL (2), DIO-RJ45-TTL (1), Urukul (5), Fastino (2), Shuttler (2), Shuttler-AFE (2), DAC Songbird (1), and a rack-mountable crate (1). These components are for functions such as power generation, experimental hardware coordination, real-time schedule execution, clock distribution, fast TTL I/O, RF signal generation, and analog voltage/waveform generation.
- Software Integration: Implementation of RTIO event batching for Zynq-based core devices (Kasli SoC, ZC706) to increase average sustained RTIO event throughput. This includes developing a new context manager for ARTIQ-Python and integrating functionalities into the main ARTIQ repository for future releases, ensuring compatibility with NAC-3 ARTIQ compiler and ARTIQ-9.
