This document is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) to identify potential sources for commercial digital recorders. The NCNR requires five (5) Yokogawa GX-20 Digital Recorders (part number GX20-1E/CG/D5/AS/MT/MC/FL/LG) to replace consumed spare parts for their control systems, which are critical for monitoring radiation and power levels in the National Bureau of Standards Reactor (NBSR).

This notice is a market research tool and not a solicitation. NIST is seeking domestic commercial products that meet specific technical requirements. Interested parties should submit documentation demonstrating their capability to meet the requirements, including company information, point of contact, and details on whether the supply is COTS, modified COTS, or a prototype. Responses are due by March 27, 2026, 4:00 PM ET. Questions must be submitted by March 20, 2026, 4:00 PM ET via email to ranae.armstrong@nist.gov and Donald.collie@nist.gov. No award will be made from this notice, and respondents will not be notified of the results. Participation in future solicitations is not precluded by non-response.

Sources Sought Notice

This notice is a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research and identify potential sources for commercial digital recorders. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) requires these recorders for control systems at the National Bureau of Standards Reactor (NBSR). This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), and no award will be made from this notice. It is a market survey to gauge industry capability.

• Product: Yokogawa GX-20 Digital Recorders (part number GX20-1E/CG/D5/AS/MT/MC/FL/LG).

• Quantity: Five (5) units.

• Specifications: Must meet the technical specifications of the Omron High Voltage G3VM-101LR switch, and be a domestic product if commercially available.

• Inclusions: All necessary hardware and components.

• Delivery: FOB Destination (or equivalent INCOTERMS such as DDP).

• Interested firms must submit documentation demonstrating how they can meet the minimum requirements and technical specifications. Brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration videos, and identification of current customers are acceptable forms of demonstration.

• Do NOT provide proprietary information.

• Required Information: Company name and address, Point of Contact (phone/email), Teaming partners (if applicable), classification of the supply (COTS, modified COTS, or prototype), and any other pertinent information.

• Questions Deadline: March 20, 2026, 4:00 PM ET (submit via email to ranae.armstrong@nist.gov and Donald.collie@nist.gov).

• Response Deadline: March 27, 2026, 4:00 PM ET (submit via email to ranae.armstrong@nist.gov and Donald.collie@nist.gov).

• Note: Telephone and fax inquiries/responses will not be accepted.

• The government is seeking a domestic product, if commercially available.

• Responding to this notice does not guarantee future participation in any RFQ or solicitation.

• Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey.
