Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The objective of this project is to restore sustainable trail tread to portions of the Limepoint Fire Trail system, which was significantly affected by the 2024 Limepoint Fire. The goal is to make the trail system more resistant to future runoff and erosion.

• Restore the trail bench to the entirety of the trail system, or as much as funding allows.

• Add drainage features where necessary to withstand erosion.

• Install signs at specific trail junctions and trailheads.

• Reconstruct trail tread where existing width is less than 24 inches.

• Create new trail tread with a width of 36 inches where practicable, or partial bench where full bench is impractical.

• Clearing and grubbing of vegetation and rock obstructions to the full bench width.

• Brushing of onsite vegetation and removal from the trail corridor to a minimum width of 8 feet.

• Avoidance areas are pre-identified for archaeological concerns.

• Minimize creek crossings to reduce compaction and erosion in riparian areas.

• Ensure fuel storage and refueling sites are not near water sources and have spill containment kits.

• Trail tread restoration to a specified width (36" when practicable).

• Installation of signs according to "EM-7100-15 Sign and Poster Guidelines for the FS".

• Option Item: Install drainage dips as warranted by slope and erosion impacts (not to exceed 20 without approval).
