Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To disassemble, remove, package, and relocate one horizontal boring mill from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF) to allow for the installation of new equipment and more effective use of shop spaces.

• Dismantle, remove, package, and relocate a specific horizontal boring mill (Manufacture: Giddings & Lewis, Model: G60-TX).

• Remove associated peripherals, utility infrastructure (pipe, conduit, wiring, electrical cabinets, transformers), and leveling compound (grout).

• Cap all open systems at the isolation or disconnect point.

• Cut steel bolts/anchors protruding from the foundation.

• Ensure all disassembled components are free of loose debris, oil, grease, and free liquids.

• Stage disassembled equipment and peripherals on dunnage or pallets.

• Relocate items to a Government-designated area within a 1-mile radius of PHNSY.

• Return the work site to a clean and orderly state.

• Provide a Project Manager responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the work.

• Provide an Industrial Hygienist for environmental compliance and hazardous material testing/abatement.

• Submit a preliminary Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) within 10 business days after award.

• Submit a Safety Plan for government approval prior to work commencement.

• Comply with all applicable Federal, State of Hawaii, and OSHA requirements.

• Comply with NFPA 51B for hot work, including submitting a Hot Work Checklist and Permit.

• Hours of Operation: PHNSY & IMF operates 24 hours/day, but most administrators work Monday-Friday, 0630-1500. Contractor must coordinate around these hours and Federal holidays.

• Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) required as part of the proposal, outlining hazardous material testing (lead, asbestos), nuisance dust control, and damage mitigation.

• Spill kits must be available at the work area.

• Drip diapers required in MHE laydown spaces.
