Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide services for repainting the Douglas AD-4N Skyraider display aircraft located at Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWCWD) China Lake, California.

• Prepare and protect the area around the aircraft.

• Prepare the aircraft for painting, including taping, removing old paint, and sanding.

• Paint the aircraft according to the Skyraider Paint Scheme document using specified durable, UV-resistant polyurethane paints over an epoxy primer.

• Apply finishing touches, correct mistakes, and ensure proper insignia placement.

• Remove all materials and equipment, and dispose of refuse and hazardous waste in accordance with OSHA regulations.

• The finished product will be evaluated by government POCs against the specifications in the Skyraider Paint Scheme document.

• Safety Data Sheets for all paint used must be provided.

• Compliance with all OSHA standards and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1) is required.

• Fall protection is required for work 4 feet or more off the ground.

• Period of Performance: Determined upon award of contract.

• Place of Performance: Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake, California, specifically Michelson Laboratory, building 00010.

• Base access is required; contractor must provide documents for base access and comply with installation policies.

• No security clearance is required.

• Government-furnished property or information will not be provided.
