Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This SOW outlines the requirements for a contractor to perform underwater hull inspection, cleaning, and renewal of zinc anodes for a vessel.

• Conduct a comprehensive underwater hull inspection.

• Clean the vessel's underwater body, removing marine growth and contaminants.

• Inspect and renew underwater zinc anodes.

• Inspect hull plating, coating system, transducers, drive systems, appendages, and cathodic protection.

• Inspect sea chests, hull penetrations, propeller shafts, propellers, struts, rudders, and sonar domes.

• The contractor must provide 24-hour advance notice for diver inspections.

• Continuous two-way communication must be maintained between the diver and the Person-in-Charge/Coast Guard Inspector.

• All inspections must be documented through written reports and an audio-video report.

• Specific forms are provided for documenting bio-fouling, diver hull inspection, running gear, propellers, rudders, and zinc wastage.

• Written reports and audio-video reports (on DVD) must be submitted to the COR within 24 hours of inspection completion.

• Hull cleaning must be performed without damaging the existing coating system or non-coated surfaces.

• Zinc anode renewal must be done without damaging hull components.

• Period of Performance: April 13, 2026 – April 15, 2026

• Location: USCGC MARGARET NORVELL, 100 McArthur Cswy Miami Beach, FL, 33139

• The contractor must provide a certified diver and tender team, along with necessary support equipment, in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.401-440.

• Mixed gas diving and live boating are not permitted.

• Ship's force will secure and tag out specific machinery and systems prior to diving operations upon contractor request.

• Government-furnished property includes specific anodes, nuts, and screws listed in the document.
