Sources Sought Notice / Request for Information
This notice is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center Norfolk, VA, for market research purposes to identify sources capable of performing routine DOCKSIDE Maintenance onboard the CGC KATHERINE WALKER. This is not a solicitation, but aims to determine the existence of capable sources, the availability of commercial items, and commercial practices. Results may influence future competition and set-aside decisions.
The contractor will be expected to provide all necessary materials, equipment, and personnel for routine DOCKSIDE Maintenance. Anticipated tasks include, but are not limited to:
Fire Prevention Requirements
Cleaning and inspection of Tanks (Potable Water, Voids, Grey Water, Sewage Vacuum Collection)
Commercial cleaning of Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Piping, Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust Piping, and various Vent Ducts (Engine/Motor Room, Galley/Pantry, Laundry, Other)
Cleaning, inspection, and hydro testing of Compressed Air Receivers and System Valves
Flushing of Sewage Piping
Preservation of Sewage Vacuum Collection Tanks
Renewing of Deck Covering, Electrical Matting, Lube Oil (LO) System Piping, Fuel Oil (FO) System Piping, Oily Water (OW) System Piping, Gaff Arm Pad-eye(s), Kick Pipes, and ATOM Tie Downs
Replacement of Plot House Window

Respondents should indicate their business size status. Specific documentation is required for various small business certifications (8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSBC, VOSBC, EDWOSB, WOSBC). Competition and set-aside decisions will be based on market research results.
