This Request for Quote (RFQ) W51AA1-26-Q-A051 is for Domestic Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB), Rare Earth Magnets. The government intends to award Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (MA-IDIQ) contracts to support Tobyhanna Army Depot. Simplified procedures will be used in accordance with Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulations (RFO) Part 12 and Subpart 16.5.

• The government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation.

• Offerors are responsible for all costs incurred in preparing proposals.

Statement of Work (SOW)

Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) requires a secure and reliable domestic supply of high-performance Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) rare earth magnets, which are critical components for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motors.

• The contractor shall manufacture and deliver NdFeB rare earth magnets compliant with the specifications in this SOW.

• The entire manufacturing process, from raw material processing to final magnet finishing and coating, must be fully domestic and performed within the United States.

• This is a firm-fixed-price effort.

• General Manufacturing: Magnets must meet precise technical specifications. The entire supply chain and manufacturing process must be domestic and decoupled from foreign influence, investment, material, and equipment.

  • Coating: Nickel-plated
  • Magnetization: Radially magnetized arc segments for BLDC motor assembly.
