Scope of Work
The required services include the packing and installation of furniture and furnishings at an indefinite number of U.S. Department of State facilities overseas. This may also involve state-side warehouse trips for freight inspection in both non-secure and secure environments. Typical projects range from 20-200 desks with an average installation time of 1-4 weeks.
Basic Services encompass project review, scope clarification, installation planning, scheduling, security protocol adherence, site walkthroughs, supervision of installation (including seismic bracing where required), training for Post staff, final inventory, and comprehensive trip reports with photographic documentation. Optional Services may include quality control, pre-shipment inventory verification, and pre-performance conferences.
Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Detailed experience with international systems furniture installation, particularly for government agencies.
- GSA contract number, if applicable.

- Information on active security clearance with DSCA; a Secret Facility Clearance (FCL) and Secret personnel security clearance are required, and the Department of State will sponsor firms for FCL if needed.

- Worker's compensation insurance in accordance with the Defense Base Act (DBA) is mandatory for overseas work.
