Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
- Collections Support: Artifact registration, restoration support, and basic conservation services (cleaning, handling, repair, preservation) for the AMC Museum's permanent historic reference collection.
- Exhibit Design & Production: All operational and exhibit signage, and marketing advertisements with graphics.
- Specific Tasks (from PWS): Maintaining registers, evaluating/accessioning 150-250 artifacts annually, creating accession folders, monitoring climate, identifying insect infestation, designing/installing 10-12 complex graphic projects and 20-30 less complex sign projects annually, researching images, composing text, and producing signs/graphics. Training/presentations on artifacts and best practices may also be required.

Special Requirements
- Personnel Qualifications: Contractor must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in museum studies or a related field, or 5 years of equivalent experience. In-depth knowledge of NMUSAF Collection Information Management System (CIMS), Microsoft Access databases, and museum-compatible exhibition/archival materials is required.
- Equipment: Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) includes a vinyl printer/plotter, large format printer, networked computer, archival tools, and graphics software. The contractor must provide photographic equipment and consumables.
- Security: Adherence to security requirements, including background checks, installation access procedures, Antiterrorism Awareness Level I training, and Operational Security (OPSEC) training. Labor hours must be reported via the ECMRA website.
