Scope of Work
The required system is a mobile fire pump testing and training unit with specific salient characteristics, including:
- General: Mobile, true pump tests from draft, suction lift, NFPA 1911 (2017) compliant, up to 3,000 GPM, recycled water training.
- Transporter: Purpose-built, heavy-duty aluminum, max 6,500 lbs, two 7,000-lb axles, stabilizing jacks, storage compartments, LED lighting, 2-inch extruded aluminum flooring, adjustable towing connection.
- Water Reservoir: Minimum 3,000-gallon capacity, heavy-duty poly, "T-shaped" design, integrated drafting pit with anti-swirl plates, internal cavitation-control baffles, integrated water-cooling system, UV-rated net cover, inspection plates, drain, liquid sight gauges.
- Drafting System: Two 6-inch drafting tubes with swivels, various lengths of 6-inch and 2 1/2-inch clear hard suction hose, aluminum hose trays.
- Flow Measurement & Discharge: Two 4-inch aluminum manifolds with 5-inch Storz connections, two large pitot compartments, two NFPA-compliant pressure relief valves.
- Monitoring & Test Instrumentation: Portable master monitor station with tripod, glycerin-filled gauges (pitot, vacuum, pressure), high-pressure hoses.
- Integrated Fire Hose Tester: Gas-powered (min 5.5-HP), capable of testing hoses up to 6-inch diameter, stainless steel manifold, master and individual gauges.
