Quick Summary
The Department of the Army / Air National Guard is soliciting quotations for a Drone Detection System (Solicitation W50S8N26QA020) to enhance defense capabilities against small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) threats. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotes are due by June 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
Scope of Work
The Air National Guard requires a rapidly deployable, autonomous radar capability to detect, track, and classify small UAS threats. This system will support Domestic Operations (DOMOPS), Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA), base defense, critical infrastructure protection, and Agile Combat Employment (ACE) distributed operations. The intended employment is for continuous, reliable, and scalable detection, tracking, and early warning of sUAS threats.
Key salient characteristics include:
- Wide-area, persistent sUAS detection and tracking.
- Utilization of passive or low-emission sensors (RF, EO/IR, Acoustics).
- Common operating picture interface with real-time location, altitude, and historical track data.
- Detection and tracking of low-altitude, low-RCS, slow-moving sUAS.
- Real-time classification (bird vs. drone vs. clutter).
- Operation in RF-congested and urban environments.
- Independent function without cloud connectivity.
- Non-proprietary open API and integration with existing C2 and C-sUAS architectures (TAC, Lattice, SAPIENT).
- Integration into base architecture for real-time sUAS air picture to the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC).
