This document provides responses to five questions from industry regarding a Sources Sought notice for UAS components, clarifying requirements and the type of information sought from potential vendors.

• Blue Cleared List / NDAA Compliance: Vendors responding to the Sources Sought are not required to provide Blue List items. NDAA compliance is sufficient for other components, ensuring products meet cybersecurity, performance, and compatibility standards for UAS platforms.

• Annual Quantities: Estimated annual quantities are preliminary and subject to change. Vendors are encouraged to provide information on their production capacity and ability to scale.

• Information Sought: The government is primarily seeking general company and capabilities information, including company details, UEI/CAGE, core competencies in UAS components, potential products, and a capabilities statement. Detailed information like specific component names, quantities, pricing, or Bill of Materials (BOM) is not required at this time.

• Army Marketplace Distinction: This Sources Sought effort is a separate vehicle from the Army Marketplace, focused on identifying interested vendors and gathering preliminary information for an anticipated contract.

• Extension Request: A capabilities statement is sufficient for this phase. Requests for a one-week extension will be reviewed, and vendors will be notified if an extension is granted.

• Clarifies that detailed product-specific information (e.g., pricing, quantities, BOM) is not required for the current Sources Sought response.

• Confirms that a capabilities statement is adequate for initial submission.

• Indicates that submission timelines may be subject to change based on extension request reviews.

This document outlines the salient characteristics for drone parts sought for the procurement and assembly of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). It provides broad descriptions of the government's needs to communicate requirements to industry partners.

Categories of Parts:

• Internals: Components within the aircraft enabling flight and data transmission (e.g., flight controllers, GPS units, radio transmitters, ESCs).
• Power: Propulsion system components (e.g., motors, batteries, propellers).
• Payload: Mission-specific systems not essential to flight (e.g., cameras, sensors, single board computers).
• Ground Control: Equipment used to control the aircraft from the ground (e.g., controllers, FPV goggles).
• Assembly: Parts used in the assembly process (e.g., fasteners, glue, heat shrink, tape, zip-ties, flux, solder).

Each category includes a description and examples of specific parts, inclusive of generic and name-brand variants.

This document helps potential bidders understand the types of drone parts the government is interested in procuring for UAS assembly. It serves as a guide for identifying relevant products and capabilities that align with the government's needs.
