Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The 413th CSB (Department of the Army) is conducting a Sources Sought to identify qualified vendors for Drone Parts, specifically components and repair parts for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This effort aims to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for both critical and non-critical UAS components. This opportunity is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Responses are due by January 27, 2026.
Scope of Requirement
The requirement covers a broad range of UAS components, including:
- Critical Components: Internals (flight controllers, GPS, video transmission radios, ESCs), Power Systems (motors, batteries, propellers), Payloads (cameras, sensors, single-board computers), and Ground Control Equipment (controllers, FPV goggles).
- Non-Critical Components: Assembly parts such as bolts, nuts, fasteners, glue, epoxy, heat shrink, tape, zip ties, flux, solder, and other tools. A "Drone Salient Characteristics" document provides further details on categories and examples. Note that any equipment identified on the DCMA Blue List will be acquired directly from DCMA.
Contract & Timeline
- Type: Sources Sought (for a future Blanket Purchase Agreement)
- Set-Aside: Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5)
- Response Due: January 27, 2026, 09:59 PM UTC
- Published: January 22, 2026
Information Sought
The government is primarily seeking general company and capabilities information. Vendors should provide:
- Company details (UEI/CAGE)
- Core competencies in UAS components
- Potential products
- A capabilities statement
- Information on production capacity and ability to scale. Crucially, detailed information such as specific component names, quantities, pricing, or Bill of Materials (BOM) is not required for this Sources Sought response. NDAA compliance is sufficient for components not on the Blue List.
Additional Notes
This Sources Sought effort is a separate vehicle from the Army Marketplace. Requests for a one-week extension will be reviewed.
