Quick Summary
The United States Air Force, 319 CONS, Grand Forks AFB, ND, is conducting a Sources Sought (FA465926QZ005) to identify potential sources capable of providing Drone Parts Components compliant with the Buy American Act. This is a market research effort, not a solicitation, to assess industry capabilities for a potential future acquisition. Responses are due by April 22, 2026.
Scope of Work
The Air Force seeks capabilities for providing drone parts and components that are mutually compatible for the successful construction and operation of complete drone systems. All products must meet the detailed specifications outlined in "Attachment 1- 2026 Drone Parts Salient Characteristics."
Key requirements include:
- Buy American Act Compliance: All parts and components must comply with 25.1 - Buy American - Supplies.
- Blue UAS Framework: Critical components such as Flight Controllers, ESCs, VTXs, Rx, GPS, FPV Cameras, Antennas, RC TX, and VRX FPV Goggles must be listed on the Blue UAS Framework.
- Component Compatibility: All components, critical and non-critical (e.g., Motors, Props, Batteries, Hardware), must be compatible.
- FPV Goggles: The government is transitioning to a Blue Listed system for FPV goggles. While Fat Shark Dominator HDO+ has been used, other NDAA-compliant systems not from China or Russia are acceptable. A complete system-level Blue UAS listing is insufficient for individual component requirements; each part must comply with the Blue UAS parts list for custom builds. For complete drone system purchases, the system's listing is sufficient.
