Statement of Work (SOW)

To add handicapped operators to select doors within Building 47 to improve accessibility for handicapped personnel.

• Provide and install handicapped operators, one per set of double doors, as indicated on the provided plans.

• Install two touchless handicapped activators for each door.

• Power for the devices will be sourced from nearby outlets; surface mounting of electrical conduit is not permitted.

• For first-floor doors, install a full lite kit with internal mini blinds into the door slab. The door slab may need to be replaced to accommodate the lite kit. The new door slab is to be disposed of.

• Contractor must have 5 years of experience in the described areas.

• Completion must be no later than 75 days after notice to proceed.

• Period of Performance: 75 days from Notice to Proceed.

• Place of Performance: Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), Richmond, VA.

• Site visit is required. Specific attire (long pants, closed-toe shoes, high visibility vest, hard hat, safety glasses) is mandated for site visits.

• Contractor must provide all materials and equipment.

• Contractor must adhere to The Buy American Act.

• All demolished and excess materials must be removed from the premises.

• All hardware and equipment must be tested and operational after turnover.

• Contractor must consider and address all interferences (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, etc.).

• Electrical work requires updating panel schedules and tagging new/replaced equipment.

• Contractor must verify compatibility of new equipment with existing infrastructure.

• Utilities (water, heat, AC, gas, electric) shut-downs require 14 calendar days' notice.

• Doors receiving new frames/slabs require a typewritten tag indicating the door number.
