This solicitation is for "Water Trucks-Dust Abatement" for the Salmon-Challis National Forest in Idaho. The government requires two water trucks with operators to support road preparation and the application of chloride dust palliatives on specific forest roads. The primary purpose is to pre-wet roads to facilitate grading and ensure proper penetration of the dust palliative product.

• Equipment: Two water trucks, each with a minimum capacity of 3400 gallons, capable of evenly distributing water.

• Watering Method: Ability to draft water using on-board pumps or auxiliary pumps at unimproved sites.

• Intake Screens: Must meet National Marine Fisheries Service guidelines (max screen opening 3/32", max approach velocity 0.2 ft/sec).

• Operation: Trucks to operate as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to maintain optimal road conditions for dust palliative application.

• Roads: Application on Salmon River Road (60030), Stanley-Landmark (40579), and Dagger-Boundary (40568) roads.

• Mobilization: Payment for mobilization to and from the project site at the same hourly rate.

• Equipment Breakdown: Repairs must be made promptly, with equipment returned to service within 48 hours, or similar replacement equipment furnished.

• Landscape Preservation: Operations must minimize erosion and prevent pollution of waterways. Vehicles must be cleaned before entering the forest, and fluid leaks must be repaired immediately.

• Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price.

• Period of Performance: Notice to Proceed may be issued any time after June 1, 2026. Project completion required no later than July 10, 2026.

• Estimated Quantity: Maximum of 120 hours total for two trucks (including mobilization), billed by actual quantity.

• Offer Due Date: May 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM Mountain Time.
