Quick Summary
The Department of the Navy, on behalf of the Military Sealift Command (MSC), is soliciting for the direct replacement of ECP4N MICRO CONTROL Parts from The Edro Corporation (OEM). This is a sole-source procurement for critical safety items (CSIs) on MSC Fleet Vessels, specifically the USNS RICHARD E. BYRD (T-AKE 4) and other T-AKE class ships. The requirement is for two (2) EC-P4N MICRO CONTROL, SUB ASY (MFR ID/Model # NX60-NSWE, Part Number: 6536TS-DE6XP). Offers are due May 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Purpose & Justification
This solicitation aims to procure urgently needed OEM parts for critical main engine, engine room plant/equipment, and washer extractors. MSC policy (COMSCINST 4490.1) mandates the use of OEM parts for these CSIs to ensure operational readiness, sanitation, and safety standards on T-AKE class ships during extended deployments. The Design Control Activity has determined that only authorized sources can provide these items, justifying the sole-source approach. While this is an UNRESTRICTED solicitation, interested companies may identify their interest and capability to respond, which will be considered for determining if a competitive procurement is possible, though this determination is at the Government's discretion.
