Quick Summary

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market research regarding an eDiscovery review platform. This RFI aims to identify potential solutions to support DEA's eDiscovery and investigative needs. Responses are due May 1, 2026, by 10:00 am (eastern).

Purpose & Scope of Interest

This RFI is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment to award a contract. The DEA is seeking information to determine an acquisition strategy for a new or augmented eDiscovery platform. Key areas of interest include:

  • Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Case Management Systems
  • Case Management Tools, Customization, Reporting, and Auditing
  • Data Sorting, Analytics, and Criminal organization network mapping
  • Cloud Migration, Hybrid approaches, and Robust Security (e.g., FEDRAMP)
  • User-friendly interfaces, ongoing support, and integration of geospatial, temporal analysis, and AI
  • Data migration strategies for legacy systems

Current & Desired Capabilities

The DEA currently utilizes Relativity for eLitigation and Case Management. They are assessing capabilities to potentially replace or augment this system with a web-based, intuitive platform offering comprehensive document management, audit trails, and Section 508 compliance. The desired system must integrate with other federal systems and ensure high security and compliance.

Submission & Evaluation

Vendors are requested to submit electronic responses by 10:00 am (eastern) on May 1, 2026. Negative responses are also encouraged. Submissions should be in a vendor-determined format, limited to 50 pages, demonstrating experience, technical knowledge, and past performance in all listed competence areas. Respondents must also inform the DEA of any potential or actual Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI). All communications and submissions must be via email to fac.proposal.submission@dea.gov, robert.j.radke@dea.gov, and lindsey.j.clark@dea.gov, with the subject line: RFI Response:15DDHQ-26-RFI-FAIT02 - eDiscovery review platform.

Contract & Timeline

  • Type: Request for Information (RFI) / Sources Sought
  • Anticipated Duration: One base year with four, one-year options (if a subsequent acquisition occurs)
  • Set-Aside: None specified (market research stage)
  • Response Due: May 1, 2026, 10:00 am (eastern)
  • Published: April 1, 2026

Additional Notes

Failure to respond to this RFI may preclude participation in any subsequent acquisition. This RFI does not obligate the Government to reimburse costs for capabilities statements.
