Quick Summary
The USDA Forest Service is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ), solicitation number 1240LR26Q0010, for AmpliFire Isothermal Fluorometers. These devices are essential for analyzing aquatic invasive species samples, particularly for quagga mussel detection in NFS lakes in Idaho. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Quotes are due by May 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM MST.
Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the procurement of seven (7) AmpliFire Pro units, each with two (2) Pods. The fluorometers will be used for real-time measurement of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) reactions to detect environmental DNA (eDNA) of targeted aquatic invasive species. Key technical specifications include:
- Rechargeable battery with at least 6 hours life.
- Three (3) channels for fluorescent detection.
- Touch-screen display and internal memory for at least 1,000 runs.
- USB interface and QR code reader.
- Operating temperature range of 4°C to 33°C, with reaction temperatures between 45°C to 72°C.
- Maximum dimensions: 10.5" W x 5" H x 15.5" D, and maximum weight: 9 pounds.
- Ability to fit 0.2 mL PCR tubes with at least eight (8) wells and analyze reaction volumes as low as 20 microliters. Offerors must ensure clear traceability to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and provide a Certificate of Conformance (COC).
Contract Details
The anticipated award type is a firm-fixed price contract. Delivery of the fluorometers is required 90 Days After Receipt of Order. Offerors must hold their proposed prices for 90 calendar days.
