Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for the complete replacement of the existing roofs at the El Malpais Ranger Station Visitor Center and Workshop. This includes the removal and disposal of existing torch-down and asphalt shingle roofing, replacement of damaged decking (5/8" plywood), and removal of parapet caps. The new roofing system will consist of a 60-mil thick TPO single-ply membrane, mechanically attached and heat-welded, along with a 1/2" high-density polyisocyanurate cover board and insulation, and a 30-mil self-adhered vapor retarder. New 20-gauge metal coping caps with drip edges and boots for existing roof penetrations are also required. The project also includes an 8 KW PV System for the Visitor Center (Item 001) and an optional additional 8 KW (Item 002). All work must adhere to the Statement of Work (SOW), Uniform Building Code (UBC), Southern Standard Building Codes, New Mexico State Statutes, New Mexico Department of Transportation, OSHA, DEP, EPA regulations, and ADA compliance requirements, with the most stringent requirements applying in case of conflict. Architectural and engineering drawings are provided for detailed specifications.
