Scope of Work

The material must be MIL-C-15726, alloy C71500 or MIL-C-24679, alloy C71500. Key Requirements & Quality Assurance
Contractors must adhere to higher-level contract quality requirements, including detailed inspection and testing. A one-year warranty is required for supplies of a noncomplex nature. Key quality provisions include:
- Material Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis is mandatory for the Elbow. Re-identification and re-certification are required if material properties are altered during processing. Electronic signatures on certification documents are acceptable under controlled conditions.
- Traceability: Maintained from the material to the material certification test report (Objective Quality Evidence - OQE) using unique traceability numbers marked on the material.
- Quality System: Contractors must maintain a quality system compliant with ISO-9001 (amplified/modified) and calibration system requirements of ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. MIL-I-45208 with MIL-STD-45662 is an acceptable alternative.
- Welding/Brazing: Procedures and qualification data must be submitted for review and approval prior to performing any welding or brazing.
- Inspections: Government Quality Assurance (GQA) will be performed at the source. Contractors must notify DCMA. Final inspection includes 100% inspection of material verification data, traceability, and NDT certifications.
