Scope of Work
The USCG ALC seeks an Electric 5k–6k DBP Burden Carrier Tractor with a conventional design, capable of 5,000-6,000 lbs DBP (or 50,000-70,000 lbs force). Key specifications include:
- Delivery: One First Article Unit within 120-160 days ARO, with an estimated 116 production units.
- Dimensions: Max 120 inches length (without hitches), 150 inches (with hitches), 90 inches height (with cab/beacon), 80 inches width.
- Weight: 7,000-10,000 lbs gross weight.
- Performance: Minimum 15 mph forward speed, two- or four-wheel drive, hydrostatic and power steering.
- Power: Electric Lithium-Ion battery (min 10kW), on-board charging (208-240V and/or 440-480V, three-phase, 60Hz).
- Cab: Enclosed, heated cab with 360-degree visibility, safety glass, and SAE J 386 compliant seatbelts.
- Features: Minimum 2-level front/rear hitches, operational lighting (including amber beacon, head/tail/turn/hazard/work lights), audible backup alarm, electric horn, weatherproof dash cam, and a 20-pound ABC fire extinguisher.
- Durability: Requires protection against galvanic corrosion, zinc-rich primer, polyurethane topcoat (semi-gloss white exterior, flat black chassis), tropical rustproofing (AA-59295 compound), and non-slip surfaces.
- Documentation: Hardcopy and electronic (PDF) operation, maintenance, and parts manuals are required, with permission for USCG intranet upload.
