Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force (FA8125 AFSC PZIMA) is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price contract for Electric Motor Rebuild services. This opportunity involves the comprehensive rebuild of a 300hp electric motor for an Aerospace Service & Controls composite curing autoclave (Model No. EC 15X30) located at the Oklahoma City-Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC). This is a Small Business Set-Aside. Offers are due by June 19, 2026, 12:00 PM local time.

Scope of Work

The contractor will provide a one-time, off-base service to fully rebuild the 300hp electric motor. Key services include:

  • Electric Motor Rewind: Complete replacement of stator windings and associated insulation, including core loss testing, manufacturing and installing new NEMA-compliant windings, and winding encapsulation via Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) – standard dip-and-bake is unacceptable.
  • Technical Specifications: Utilization of a Class H (180°C) or higher insulation system and dynamic rotor balancing to a G2.5 specification or better.
  • Additional Tasks: Bearing and seal upgrades, installation of magnetic bearing isolators, and application of a high-performance, corrosion-resistant epoxy paint.
  • Compliance: EASA AR100 compliance is required. The motor shop must demonstrate capability to legally rebuild hazardous designed motors.
  • Place of Performance: Contractor's off-base repair facility, located within a 120-mile radius of the OC-ALC.
