Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide comprehensive services for the rebuild of four specific "Electric Motor (Hazardous)" units (Allied Signal Model No. 8230001-0503-OC01 Fuel Test Station, Reliance motors models 324TC and 365TSC). Services include:
- Electric Motor Reconditioning: Full inspection, cleaning, testing, minor repair (e.g., bearing/seal replacement, lubrication), reassembly, and final testing to restore motors to original operating specifications. This involves disassembly, stator winding inspection, critical dimension measurement, dynamic balancing, repainting, and sandblasting.
- Electric Motor Rewind Services: Complete replacement of stator windings and associated insulation, in addition to all reconditioning steps. This includes removal of existing windings, core loss testing, manufacturing/installation of new NEMA compliant windings, and VPI or dip and bake encapsulation. All services are to be performed off-site at the contractor's facility, with delivery of repaired equipment required within five business days after completion.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Special Qualifications: Contractors must be an EASA AR100 Service Center, provide EASA accreditation, be located within a 120-mile radius of the performance location, and possess certification for hazardous location motors.
- Materials: Only new parts and materials are to be used.
- Reporting: Draft Service Report due immediately upon maintenance completion, final report to GPOC within 5 business days.
- Compliance: Adherence to federal, state, local laws, TAFB, and OC-ALC regulations, including HAZMAT, SDS, and Hazardous Waste disposal. Compliance with AFOSH Standards for health and safety.
- Proprietary Equipment: Vendors must be authorized to perform repairs on the proprietary equipment.
