Purpose of Sources Sought
This is a Sources Sought Notice only, not a Request for Proposal. The USDA Contracting Office is conducting market research to determine if a sufficient number of qualified Small Businesses (including small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, Hub Zone, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses) exist to set aside a Purchase Order. Responses will inform the acquisition decision for a contemplated solicitation under FAR Part 12.
Scope of Work / Requirements
The objective is to acquire an Electroantennogram System with gas-chromatography electroantennogram detection for identifying compounds that stimulate insect olfactory sensilla. Key components required include:
- 1 x 2-Channel BT Acquisition Controller (Type IDAC-2 BT incl. SW)
- 1 x 4-Channel USB Acquisition Controller (Type IDAC-4 incl. SW)
- 1 x COMBI - EAG Probe PRG-3
- 2 x Electrode gel (Tube)
- 2 x Glass mixing tube (bended) All items must be compatible with Syntech IDAC data acquisition systems. Delivery is required ASAP to 10300 Baltimore Avenue, Bldg 004, Rm 012, Beltsville, MD 20705, with at least a one-year warranty.

Contemplated Contract & Evaluation
The contemplated solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12 and evaluated based on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) process.
