NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARD
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bemidji Area intends to award a Firm Fixed Priced Contract on a sole source basis to Henry Schein, for the Cass Lake Indian Health Service Hospital in Cass Lake, MN. The anticipated period of performance will be for a one-year contract.
The sole source action will be issued under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) - only one source reasonably available. Henry Schein is the only vendor that offers the support for Dentrix Enterprise and DEXIS. Henry Schein is required for service support, helpdesk service, and warranty coverage for the Dentrix Enterprise electronic dental record (EDR). The Dentrix Enterprise EDR is the IHS-wide standard EDR program (by IHS contract) for IHS dental clinics. This service and support is only available from Henry Schein Practice Solutions (HSPS) and is used continuously to provide direct patient care record creation/maintenance, patient scheduling and billing management.
