Purpose & Scope
This effort seeks to improve the Building 1000 (B1000) Switchgear by updating control programming, repairing identified issues in control wiring, and replacing end-of-life equipment. The objective is to ensure the electric power sources for USSTRATCOM operate as a never-fail utility. The scope includes:
- Programming for manual initiation of electrical bus separation, simultaneous GOC separation, and emergency generator test automation.
- Programming for manual management of minimum generators and load bank use with live load generator testing.
- Installation of input/output devices and control switches.
- Establishment of restricted access to Electric and Power System controls via HMI.
- Replacement/upgrade of Master A and Master B Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and repair of power to Primary and Secondary I/O PLCs.
- On-site systems field tests, documentation, commissioning, and training for maintenance personnel.
