Services include, but are not limited to, Mycobacteria Stains, Microbiology Specimens, Histology Testing, Immunoperoxidase Stains, Transplant Compatibility Testing, Therapeutic Drugs, Bone Marrow Workup, Clotting Factors, Co-Oximetry Blood Gas, and Platelet Function assays. STAT/emergent testing requires a turnaround time of 24 hours or less. The contractor must also provide specimen courier services, including twice-daily pickups (approx. 09:00 and 16:00) and on-demand pickups for STAT, night, and weekend needs. Special collection kits, containers, media, and biohazard bags must also be provided. The contracting laboratory must be available seven days a week, 24 hours a day for STAT urgency.
