Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide a commercial diesel technician experienced in the overhaul and repair of USCG Series 60 engines. The scope includes labor and consumable parts to repair the Starboard engine (NSN: 2895-01-590-7303 S/N: 06R1048667). Specific tasks involve:
- Draining coolant, removing valve cover, ECM, exhaust manifold, exhaust riser, injectors, rocker arm assemblies, camshaft, and cylinder head.
- Thoroughly cleaning the area.
- Installing government-furnished cylinder head gasket kit and new cylinder head, torquing to MTU requirements.
- Re-installing exhaust manifold with new gasket and exhaust riser to manifold pipe.
- Adjusting cylinder head exhaust valves and injector timing per MTU requirements.
- Re-installing valve cover and gasket.
