Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines the requirements for engineering and fabrication services to support the manufacture and delivery of United States Navy submarine propulsors. The Advanced Propulsor Management Office (APMO) requires hardware and services for propulsor component construction, shipment, and installation.

• Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation: Completion of required delivery documentation and preparation of materials for delivery.

Sources Sought Notice / Request for Information (RFI)

This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for quote or a solicitation. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for propulsor support hardware and services. This includes items such as castings, forgings, machining, welding, metrology, material testing, fasteners, and miscellaneous hardware.

NSWCCD is seeking industry feedback on defining requirements for the fabrication of hardware to support propulsor component construction, shipment, and installation. A DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) is provided as Attachment 1.

Market research is being conducted to determine the capability of socio-economic small businesses and large businesses.

Respondents should include:

• A cover page with organization name, address, and point of contact information.

• Organization size and type (including small business status).

• A brief statement of interest in applying as a prime or subcontractor.

• Description of capabilities and relevant past performance for tasks similar to the DRAFT PWS (response not to exceed 10 pages).

• Identification of barriers to satisfying the PWS and recommendations for modifications.

• Feedback on specific sections of the DRAFT PWS, including capabilities, unclear areas, and limitations.

• Suggestions on contract vehicle, contract type, and CLIN structure.

• No funds are available to pay for response preparation.
