The facility must be within 20 driving miles of PSNS & IMF, including student parking, a classroom, a tactical training house for Simunition-type weapons, and bathroom facilities. The training curriculum includes:
- Two-day "Train the Trainer" course (16 hours) for experienced tactical police trainers.
- Two-day "Tactical Scenario Response" course (16 hours) for personnel with minimal tactics experience.
- One-day "Tactical Scenario Response" course (8 hours) for individuals with fundamental tactics knowledge.
- One-day "Harbor Patrol" course (8 hours) focusing on crew-served weapons deployment and vessel clearing.
