• Hull & Coatings: Lower hull zinc coat, anti-corrosive and final coatings for upper and lower hull, anti-foulant coat, hull degreasing, washing (fire hose, 10,000 PSI water), zinc anode renewal.
• Mechanical & Systems: Sluice valve replacement/overhaul, hopper jetting gate valve, main sea strainer repairs, drag wire replacement, dragarm sheave inspection, discharge piping inspection, hopper jetting system cleaning, weir seal replacement.
• Propulsion & Steering: Propeller blade inspection/replacement, propeller hub replacement, tailshaft replacement, stern tube shaft seal replacement, bow thruster gearbox/pod change out, strut and stern tube bearing inspection, rudder bushing clearance documentation.
• Certifications & Inspections: American Bureaus of Shipping International Load Line Certificate endorsement, Drydock Examination, Internal Structural Review, and Annual Inspection for USCG Certificate of Inspection renewal.
• Other: Elevator inspection/repair, anchor chain locker reconditioning, life raft annual service, sludge tank annual maintenance, dock and sea trials.

Eligibility & Requirements

Prospective contractors must either already hold an MSRA for the Essayons with USACE Portland District or be capable of entering into one. If not, a capabilities package must be submitted in accordance with the sources sought notice "USACE; Portland District Dredge Vessel MSRA" (W9127N26B1BS9) by its specified deadline. The area of consideration for award is limited to California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii. Contractors outside this region will not be considered. A mandatory pre-bid site visit will be required; details will be in the solicitation. A location differential will be applied for facilities over 300 Nautical Miles from Portland, OR.
