• Meet NPS nonfederal oil and gas rights regulations (36 CFR § 9.116).

• Meet the more stringent of Ohio plugging requirements or BLM onshore plugging requirements.

• Ensure oil, gas, brine, or other well fluids do not contaminate water strata or escape to the surface.

• Spill contingency actions must be followed in case of spills.

• The work is located within Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Summit County, Ohio.

• The ODNR process for permit approval is anticipated to take approximately 90 days, after which a Notice to Proceed will be issued.

• All operations must be conducted through an approved control head attached to the surface casing.

• No in-ground pits will be used.

• Saltwater, oils, and sludge must be stored in properly constructed and maintained liquid-tight tanks and removed when requested.

• Removal of all rods, tubing, casing, and liners is required.

• Contractor's equipment must meet all safety requirements.

• Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with exceptions requiring advance approval.

• Contracting Officer reserves the right to halt operations.

• Contractor is responsible for furnishing copies of plans and specifications to subcontractors.

• Protect surrounding wetlands; vegetation not interfering with operations shall not be removed or damaged.

• Access canals and bayous must be properly signed for temporary closure.

• All contaminated cleanup materials must be stored in impermeable, weatherproof containers and disposed of according to state and federal guidelines.

Questions & Answers / Clarifications
