Scope of Work
Contractors will be responsible for providing and maintaining an Off-Range Corral capable of housing 120 to 400 wild horses and burros annually. Key services include:
- Care and Feeding: Provision of feed, salt, minerals, and water.
- Animal Health: Hoof trimming, veterinary services (vaccinations, treatments, emergency care), and maintaining animals in moderate condition (Henneke score 5-7).
- Facility Management: Providing and maintaining adequate corrals, holding pens, adoption/sorting pens, working areas, covered facilities, and access for loading/unloading.
- Disposal & Reporting: Carcass disposal, daily feed & care logs, incident reports, and transportation notifications.
- Staff Training: Ensuring staff complete BLM’s mandatory CAWP training annually.

Technical Capability is weighted as more important than the combined Past Performance and Small Business Participation, which in turn are more important than Price.
