Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force, specifically FA8122 AFSC PZAAB, is conducting a Sources Sought to identify qualified manufacturers for an Electron Tube (P/N: 588R901H02, NSN: 5960-01-444-8163). This electron tube is for the F-16 A/B AN/APG-66 Transmitter. The notice outlines extensive manufacturing qualification requirements for potential sources. Responses are due by August 12, 2027.
Scope of Work
This Sources Sought aims to identify sources capable of manufacturing the specified Electron Tube. Key requirements for qualification include:
- Facilities, Testing, and Inspection Capabilities: Offerors must certify and demonstrate access to necessary facilities and equipment for manufacturing, inspection, testing, packaging, and storage. Government reserves the right to evaluate and inspect these capabilities.
- Data Verification: Possess a complete data package, including MANUFACTURER (97942) drawing 588R901H02, and be prepared to produce copies of all applicable procedures, drawings, or specifications.
- Manufacture/Process Verification: Manufacture the item to conform to government requirements as prescribed within the ESA-approved engineering/technical data package, including compliance with DFARS 211.274 Unique Identification (UID) requirements. Offerors must provide data showing results of quality, performance, and environmental evaluations.
- Test and Evaluation: Prepare and submit a qualification test plan/procedure for approval, conduct testing at their own expense, and submit a complete test report. The government may witness testing, requiring 30 days' advance notice.
