Quick Summary
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst Prototype Manufacturing, and Test Department (PMTD) has issued a Request for Information (RFI), also known as a Sources Sought market survey, for various F35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) tool groupings. This RFI aims to gather industry input for planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals. The government is particularly interested in identifying small business capabilities. Responses are due by April 8, 2026.
Scope of Interest
NAWCAD Lakehurst PMTD requires various F35 JSF tools, with a detailed list provided in Attachment 01 - Parts List.xlsx. This attachment specifies JSF Part Numbers, Nomenclature, Tool Box associations, Manufacturer's Part Numbers, Country of Origin, and quantities for numerous specialized tools.
Respondents are asked to provide feedback on:
- Small Business Status: Identify company's small business size standard (NAICS 332216, 750 employees) and specific subcategories (e.g., 8(a), SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, VOSB, SDVOSB).
- Performance Capability: For small businesses, indicate anticipated in-house performance percentage and compliance with the 50% rule from the Defense Authorization Bill 2013, along with financial resources.
- Product Information: Submit product specifications, proof of certifications, and a separate price list for items meeting the requirement.
RFI Details
This is strictly for information and planning; it is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and does not commit the Government to any contract. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred by respondents. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP. Proprietary information will be safeguarded if properly identified.
Submission Requirements
Responses, not exceeding ten pages (excluding product specifications, sketches, or authorized distributor listings), must be submitted via email to eric.m.daly6.civ@us.navy.mil. Price data should be provided as a separate document marked "PRICE DATA."
