The work includes all necessary finishing work to provide the Government with a final product that is fully functional and leaves no areas of the facilitythat appear incomplete or unfinished.A) Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to repair the restrooms at B839 facility to provide support in restoring essential personal hygieneaccommodations for the (18 EMS) 18TH Equipment Maintenance Squadron. This project will reorganize existing female and male restrooms and locker roomslayout, remove abandoned obstructions to save space, add space for female locker room and provide new bathrooms fixtures and associated components.Replace lavatories, toilets, urinals, and associated fixtures. Remove/rework existing interior walls, ceiling, and flooring to add space for female locker room, andrepair corresponding electrical, plumbing, mechanical components/fixtures. Provide new interior doors with frames to support new floorplan. Paint interior walls,exterior walls, doors, door frames, and ceiling in the workspace areas. Replace HVAC, sanitary sewer plumbing, and cold/hot water plumbing systems and allassociated work. Replace sewer line up to the main service line with all associated trenching, backfill, and sodding. Suspect hazardous materials (hazmat) such asAsbestos Containing Material (ACM) and Lead-Based Paint (LBP) were tested in the bathroom walls. Project includes abatement on positive building materials thatwill be disturbed by the repairs of the project. Project design is 0% complete as of 01 May 2024. Sustainable principles, to include life cycle cost-effective practices,will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with UFC 1-200-02.B) The scope includes the abatement/removal of any ACM, LBP, or any hazardous materials. For detailed information, see the Section 8 and 9.If the Contractor determines that materials other than those already identified as ACM/LBP in the Government-provided records require additional sampling tosafety execute the awarded scope, notify the Contracting Officer, and submit sampling plans. After approval, conduct sampling and analysis in accordance with thespecifications and submit the Asbestos and/or Lead Sampling and Analysis Results (ASAR/LSAR) to the Contracting Officer for action.Ensure to submit and get approved AHAP/LHAP for the discovered ACM and LBP prior to beginning the work.C) The contractor shall determine the best technical design solution in conformance with current regulations. The design and construction work shall comply withUS federal, Department of Defense, Air Force, and 18 Wing criteria, as well as applicable Japan regulatory requirements not specifically stated elsewhere in thisproject statement of work to provide a complete and usable facility upon completion.LXEZ 221020 Repair Restrooms, B839, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan, in accordance with (IAW) the Statement of Work (SOW)
