Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required to fabricate, paint, and deliver a set of two lower miter gates and associated spare parts. Each gate leaf is approximately 55 feet tall and 62 feet wide, weighing about 445,000 lbs, for a total weight of approximately 900,000 lbs. Delivery of the new gates must be by barge to Coffeeville Lock. Additionally, the contractor will be required to take ownership of the old gates and haul them off by barge at the time of new gate delivery. The Government will handle the offloading of new gates and loading of old gates onto the contractor's barges.
