• Delivery Requirements:
  • Pallets must be accessible by pallet jack; BOP staff will not unload trailers.
  • All deliveries must be palletized unless prior arrangements are made.
  • FCI Otisville cannot unload side-loaded freight.
  • Items out of date (best by, use by, expiration) will be refused.
  • Perishable foods (non-frozen) must be delivered between 34°F and 41°F.
  • Canned goods must be delivered above 34°F and not frozen.
  • Frozen foods must be delivered at 0°F or below.
  • Products may be inspected upon thawing for specification compliance.
  • Prior thawed products will be refused.
  • Certified religious diet items require specific markings (Kosher Symbol (OU), Halal symbol).
  • All items must comply with BOP National Menu Specifications. Vendors must obtain these specifications prior to quoting.
  • Receipt of delivery may be conditional for up to three (3) days for examination.
  • Unacceptable items must be picked up by the vendor within one week at their expense.
