Scope of Work

This solicitation is for the procurement of various fiber optic components and tools, including:

• Single Mode SC Hot Melt Connectors (Part# 8300-W1K-S): With white 3mm boot, for 125µm fiber, 250/900µm jacketed cable, featuring zirconia ceramic ferrule and 0.2 dB typical loss. Designed for ease of termination with pre-loaded re-heatable adhesive.
• ST Single Mode Hot Melt Fiber Connectors (Part# 8100YS): With yellow 3MM boot, for 125µm fiber, zirconia ceramic ferrule, and 0.2 dB typical loss.
• SC Hot Melt Connector Multimode 125µm (6300W): Utilizing advanced adhesive technology for quick termination (2 minutes or less) and re-heatable for fiber repositioning.
• ST Hot Melt Connector Multimode 125µm (6100): Similar to SC Multimode, with advanced adhesive technology for quick and re-heatable terminations.
• Electro-Wash MX Cleaner Degreaser: High flash point cleaner for removing soils, adhesives, and residues from insulation jackets and conductors on telecom, fiber optic, and coaxial cables.
• Fiber Optic Strippers Precision Three Hole: For stripping 1.6mm to 3.0mm jacketing, 600µm to 900µm buffer, and 250µm coating to expose 125µm fiber cladding.
• FIS Cleaning solution 99% alcohol: 99% ACS reagent grade isopropyl for cleaning fiber connector end faces or prior to splicing.
• Miller Kevlar Cutter Scissor (F1-KS1): Serrated blades made of Carbon Molybdenum and Vanadium Steel for cutting Kevlar, with ergonomic molded handles.
