Sources Sought Synopsis

The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL, is conducting market research to identify qualified sources for a Fiber Equipment Upgrade to connect Air Traffic Control radios to existing fiber communications equipment. This is a sources sought synopsis, not a solicitation, and no proposals should be submitted at this time. The government may incorporate responses into a future solicitation.

• No contract will be awarded based on this notice.
• Do not submit proposals.
• Respondents will not be reimbursed for costs incurred.
• Submitted information will not be returned.
• Oral submissions will not be considered.
• Avoid submitting competition-sensitive or proprietary information.

Capabilities:

• Address capabilities to meet requirements outlined in the attached Draft SOR for TC Communications equipment.
• Confirm capability to provide known TC Communications equipment (TC8000 and associated) and provide documentation as an authorized reseller.
• If proposing an alternative product, confirm it is approved by HQ AFFSA Airfield Operations for the existing ATCALS platform and provide OEM certifications, technical qualifications, or reseller authorizations.

• Warranty: Contractor must provide any applicable Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standard commercial warranty at no additional cost. Prior to project acceptance, the contractor must provide all manufacturer warranties, equipment manuals, literature, and other documentation. Written procedures, points of contact, warranty period confirmation, and contact information for technical support and troubleshooting are also required.
• Condition: Items must be brand new; refurbished items are not authorized.
