Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To replace the existing Fire Alarm Control Panels and upgrade firmware on the systems at Buildings 33 and 37 at McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas.

• Furnish all labor, expertise, equipment, materials, facilities, transportation, and appliances necessary to perform the replacement and upgrade.

• Provide a complete and usable system; any omitted details required for a complete system will be provided by the Contractor at no cost to the government.

• Install CPU2-640 Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels (1 per building).

• Install KDM-R2 Keypad Displays, 80 Character (1 per building).

• Perform all necessary labor, programming, and installation.

• All work must comply with federal, state, and local codes & standards, as well as widely accepted industry standards (including NFPA, NEC, OSHA, UL, etc.).

• Compliance with Kansas Department of Health requirements is mandatory.

• Hazardous materials must be properly identified, managed, and tracked, with Certificates of Compliance and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) required.

• Adherence to McConnell AFB Hazardous Materials Management Program (HMMP) is required.

• Location: Buildings 33 and 37 at McConnell AFB, Wichita, Kansas.

• Arrangements for entrance onto McConnell AFB must be made with Civil Engineer (CE) Operations.

• Site Inspection: Contractors must acknowledge they have inspected the site prior to bid opening.

• Base Access: Contractors will be granted access to McConnell AFB for project completion. Specific procedures for base access forms, security checks (minimum 5 days), identification, and entry points (East Gate for passes, West Gate for entry) must be followed. Access is restricted to the job site.

• Confined Space Entry: Requires a permit and briefing with KANG Confined Space Supervisor prior to entry into permit-required confined spaces. Contractor is responsible for initiating and maintaining the permit.

• Utilities: Contractors must coordinate with local utilities and perform "Call Before You Dig" for excavations.

• Clean-Up: Debris generated by the contract must be removed to an approved off-base location, with tipping tickets and a cover letter submitted.

• Government Resources: No government resources will be provided unless stated otherwise. Contractor must provide all necessary resources.

• Safety: Contractor is exclusively responsible for compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety laws and regulations. A pre-construction safety meeting is required.
