Scope of Work

The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor for the repair and maintenance of various fire and detection systems at DAFB. This includes:

• System Maintenance: Functional operation tests and corrective maintenance for CO2/NO detection, kitchen hood fire suppression, and automatic fire alarm systems.
• System Details: DAFB primarily uses Monaco D-21 Central Dispatching systems, with an inventory including 2,116 smoke detectors, 2,262 heat detectors, 834 pull stations, 397 duct detectors, and 159 alarm panels.
• Response Times: Respond to service requests within 24 hours for assessment, schedule work within 48 hours, and provide emergency services within 4 hours.
• Equipment Capability: Capable of providing replacement parts, maintenance, and programming for Simplex, Monaco, Notifier, and Edwards fire alarm control units.
• Coordination: Notify the COR, fire department, and facility manager before and after maintenance/repairs.

Special Requirements

• Compliance: All maintenance and repairs must comply with industry standards, applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-601-02, and manufacturer's instructions.
• Certifications: Contractor must possess current NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarms Systems, Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems, or Special Hazard Suppression systems. On-site technicians require NICET Level II certification.
• Licensing: Contractor must be licensed by the State of Delaware to work on fire alarm and extinguishing systems at DAFB.
• Personnel: Adherence to security and safety requirements, including background checks and obtaining necessary badges.
• Reporting: Submit Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemicals and report all contractor labor hours via the ECMRA data collection site.
