This contract may also be available to other Federal Government Agencies. The RFI seeks information on the industry's ability to provide suitable optics, accessories, and parts that meet CBP's preliminary requirements, as detailed in the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW).

  • Experience in manufacturing and/or distributing firearms optics for military or law enforcement.
  • Manufacturing/assembly locations for optics and parts.
  • Ability to provide items in the draft SOW or suitable alternatives.
  • Authorized distributor status for SOW items.
  • Experience with warranty coordination and any separate warranties offered.
  • Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes.
  • Ability to meet all draft SOW requirements and any feedback on the SOW.

Anticipated Contract Details (from Draft SOW)

  • Type: Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract (anticipated)
  • Duration: Five (5) years from date of award (anticipated)
  • Set-Aside: Total Small Business Set-Aside (anticipated for future solicitation)
  • Place of Performance: CONUS, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. Territories.
  • Key Requirements: Provide firearms mounted sighting systems with administrative and logistical support, submit technical specifications, ensure items have legible serial numbers, proper packaging, minimum one-year warranty, production capacity of at least 1,000 units per make/model per month, authorized distributor status, FOB Destination shipping, and strict Quality Control.
