Scope of Work
This solicitation requires the manufacture and delivery of FLANGE,PIPE components meeting ASME-B16.5 specifications, specifically 1/2 NPS, SCHEDULE 80, Socket Weld, 600 PSI, and made from ASTM-A182, grade F11, class 2 or 3 material. Barstock flanges are not permitted. Key requirements include:
- Testing & Certification: Mandatory Dye Penetrant/Magnetic Particle Inspection, Macroetch Test (ASTM-E381), and Non-Destructive Tests. Certifications are required for specific tests.
- Quality Assurance: Contractors must maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001, amplified by ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at source is required.
- Welding & Brazing: Must adhere to specified military standards (e.g., S9074-AR-GIB-010A/278). Procedures and qualification data require prior approval.
- Traceability: Strict material traceability is required from the material to the certification test report (Objective Quality Evidence - OQE), with unique identification markings per MIL-STD-792.
- Configuration Control: Waivers, deviations, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) require Government review and approval.
- Mercury Free: Components must be free of mercury and mercury-containing compounds.
