This opportunity requires the manufacture and supply of 1-inch NPS Socket Weld Flanges, 900 PSI, made from ASTM-A105 material, adhering to ASME-B16.5 standards. Key requirements include:

  • Extensive Testing & Certification: Dye Penetrant/Magnetic Particle Inspection, Macroetch Test, and other specified tests. Certifications must be submitted via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) for review and acceptance prior to shipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementation and maintenance of a quality system compliant with ISO-9001, ISO-10012, or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025. Government Quality Assurance (GQA) at source is required.
  • Material Traceability: Strict traceability from raw material to finished component, especially for Level I/SUBSAFE systems, with detailed marking and certification requirements (DI-MISC-81020, DI-MISC-80678).
  • Welding & Brazing: Procedures and personnel must be qualified under S9074-AR-GIB-010A/278, 0900-LP-001-7000, or S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248. Approval of qualification data is required prior to any welding.
  • Configuration Control: Adherence to configuration control procedures, including submission of waivers, deviations, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for approval.
  • Mercury-Free: All materials must be mercury-free.
  • Packaging: Must comply with MIL-STD 2073.
