Scope of Work
The requirement is for one (1) Pensky-Martens Flash Point Tester PMA 500. The instrument must be capable of high-precision flash point testing of petroleum products and certified by the manufacturer to perform tests in strict accordance with specified ASTM International and Energy Institute standards (ASTM D56, D93, D3828, D7236; IP 160, 523, 534). It must also be capable of calibration according to applicable USAF Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) directives and meet all technical and safety requirements for fuel testing as mandated by Technical Order (T.O.) 42B-1-1. The equipment requires manufacturer programming prior to delivery, and technical data for PMEL calibration specifications must be provided. A minimum 10-year shelf life or operational life expectancy is required. A minimum three-year manufacturer's warranty, commencing upon delivery and contingent on scheduled maintenance, is also required.
