Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy (FIGG) services, including:
- Laboratory Analysis: SNP-based genetic sequencing, evidence collection, extraction, and quantitation of DNA samples.
- Advanced Technologies: Utilization of validated Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies such as Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), Kintelligence, and SNP array. This includes software for mixture resolution and enhanced techniques for fired cartridge casings, rootless hair extractions, and Wet Vacuum DNA collection.
- Genealogy Testing: Case review, sample qualification, enrichment for degraded samples, and bioinformatics for file preparation and upload to commercial genealogy databases like GEDmatch and Family Tree DNA.
- Ancillary Services: Evidence screening/serology, DNA STR/Y-STR analysis, STRmix analysis, and expert witness testimony (including court appearances, travel, and trial preparation).
- Reporting: Provision of clear, concise written reports of findings suitable for upload to commercial genealogy databases, subject to a 100% review.
