Purpose

Scope of Work
The general scope involves the design, fabrication, supply, and delivery of eight (8) generator air coolers and two (2) thrust bearing oil coolers to the Fort Peck Power Plant. The new coolers must be manufactured to precisely match the size dimensions of the existing units, as detailed in the as-built drawings. Specific material requirements include C70600 inner tubes and SS 304 supports for thrust bearing oil coolers, and C70600 inner tubes, Extruded Aluminum fins, and SS 304 headers for generator air coolers.
Contract Details
The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed-Price agreement. The project period of performance is expected to be 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Set-Aside & Eligibility
This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside (FAR 19.5). LARGE BUSINESSES DO NOT NEED TO RESPOND. The USACE intends to pursue awards with members of the Small Business Community, including SB, SDB, SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, and Section 8(a) participants, or small business-led teams/joint ventures. The applicable NAICS Code is 332410 (Power Boiler and Heat Exchange Manufacturing). FAR 52.219-14, Limitations of Subcontracting, applies, requiring no more than 75% of the contract performance amount to be paid to subcontractors that are not similarly situated entities.
